Underpinning its entire marketing strategy is a series of product catalogues and websites, each supporting a specific customer group. Of these, the company's core printed publications comprise some 1500 original pages and 5000 versioned pages each year.
It had been recognised that current processes for both marketing and product data management would limit longer term effectiveness, and threaten ongoing growth and profitability, if not addressed.
The solutions recommended by Channel Studios included a customised PIM using the Agility system, and a new process for catalogue production management. Implementation of the PIM was actually achieved at the same time as the production of a 1000 page catalogue, during a pretty painless few months.
